The Whirlwind Life of Mackenzye Carpenter – Our 2026 Juneteenth New Boston Queen!

Mackenzye “Mac” Carpenter has been quite busy since winning her 2026 Juneteenth New Boston Title on June 13th this year.

As a winner of a competition, she’s entitled to go to the next level competition which would be the State of Texas. Mac got the bug and wanted to do just that. Unfortunately, she couldn’t get into the Texas State Juneteenth Pageant.

However, since she was emotionally ready to compete, she found she could enter the Miss American Teen Pageant in Dallas Texas, on July 14th and 15th. After registering and getting ready for this wonderful opportunity, the pageant organizers indicated they had enough “Texan” representatives already! Mac was so disappointed since she’s a born and raised Texan!

The organizers listed a couple of open states to choose from. Well, her Mom and Dad used to live in Florida and suggested that as an alternative. Sooo, she’s an honorary Florida girl with a big smile and lots of hope to win the Miss American Teen Pageant. We’re so proud of her taking the initiative to compete!

As her Momma says “We can’t wait to watch her step out of her comfort zone, make new memories, and represent the Sunshine State with a whole lot of East Texas Sass and Charm!”

Prior to this mad dash to Dallas for this weekend’s pageant, Mac has been busy proudly representing our Juneteenth New Boston organization at several events already. She was very present at the Rock Solid Springfest in late June – just after being Crowned and also at the Ribbon Cutting dedication at McCurtain Memorial Hospitals Primary and Urgent Care Clinic.

U.M.ARMY - Youth and Christian Missions

Before Mac went “public”, she’s been busy helping various organizations in our local area behind the scenes.

Her latest was at U.M. ARMY. She said:

“It was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to serve others, grow in my faith, and build relationships with some truly amazing people. Seeing the difference we could make in someone’s life through hard work, teamwork and a little love is something I will always carry with me”.
